Last year, the Juke Nismo RSnow swapped its wheels for tracks and took on arctic challenges in Lapland, Finland. This year, the Nissan Rogue Warrior is doing something similar, except this time a little closer to home, in Canada. Here at Bates Nissan, we understand that we are not as affected by the winter season as much of the rest of the country. That doesn’t mean we don’t think this snow machine is super fierce!
A Quebecois company called Motorsports in Action fitted the Rogue with a Dominator track system to allow it to tackle the snowpocalypse. To make the system work, the group increased the ground clearance, adjusted the suspension, and widened the fenders, but few other changes were needed. According to Nissan, the powertrain was unchanged, and the Rogue Warrior could climb a 45-degree incline and reach 62 miles per hour.
The vehicle is shown off in a new video, in which it tows several people up a ski slope, and—why the heck not—heads back down with them. Going down a ski slope in a crossover equipped with Dominator tracks? There’s no way that’s not going on our bucket list at Bates Nissan.
These ratings are good enough to cinch the Top Safety Pick recognition—also achieved by the Rogue and Sentra in our lineup—but the Altima scored that extra “+” at the end by earning a “Superior” rating for front crash prevention when equipped with the optional Forward Emergency Braking, giving it the Top Safety Pick Plus award.
When a front collision is imminent, the system alerts the driver; if the driver fails to respond, the system can even apply the brakes to mitigate or entirely avoid the crash. This is just one of the many safety features available on the 2016 Nissan Altima. Explore them all at Bates Nissan!
Crossovers are quickly becoming one of the most popular automotive segments in the United States, and that means good news for Nissan fans. Starting next year, Bates Nissan will begin offering the Nissan Qashqai, currently the Rogue’s European counterpart.
The Nissan Qashqai is about 10 inches shorter than the American Rogue and sits on a wheelbase that is 2 inches shorter. While it has less cargo space, it offers a more stylish rear design. It should appeal to those seeking a CUV for the lifestyle and not the utility, or possibly provide a solution for Nissan customers seeking more choices in crossovers.
Alongside the Qashqai, 2016 will also see the arrival of a Rogue Hybrid, a rumor we’ve heard before. So far, there are no details as to what it will have under the hood, or what will power the Qashqai (potentially an ultra-efficient 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine or something similar), but we’re bound to find out soon!
Nissan sales are better than ever thanks to the popularity of the Murano, Rogue, and Sentra. So far, this year has seen a 5.7% increase in sales, especially because of the record-breaking April numbers.
According to Nissan, the Rogue sales were up 44.5% this year, which is nothing compared to the 72.9% increase in Murano sales. Why are these models so popular? Since global demand for SUVs has steadily risen over the past couple of years, customers appreciate the affordability and quality of vehicles like the Rogue and Murano.
The Sentra, on the other hand, has been steadily rising to the top of sales over the past few years. This model is incredibly practical, especially because it’s fuel efficiency and affordable price. The Sentra is popular among younger generations who are looking for a sporty, yet useful car to drive in town or on the highway.
Whether you want something to take you from point A to point B or you want something that can hit the trails without difficulty, the 2015 Nissan lineup is for you. It’s no wonder the 2015 Nissan Sales are so incredible so far.
The new Nissan Rogue was recently named to Kelley Blue Book’s (KBB) “10 Best AWD Vehicles under $25,000.” Featuring available third row seating, the latest driver assist technologies, and incredible performance, it’s easy to see why the Rogue was named among the best cars on the market.
According to Nissan, the 2015 Rogue handling is one of the major features KBB editors were most impressed with. Aside from state-of-the-art AWD, the new model also has Advanced Ride Control, Active Trace Control, and Active Engine braking among other things.
“Featuring Advanced Ride Control, Active Trace Control, and Active Engine Braking among many other features, with a premium look and feel, Rogue is a solid entry in the marketplace. We are ecstatic that the Rogue has been recognized by Kelley Blue Book,” said Dan Mohnke, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager.
The Rogue also comes with premium seating and extra cargo room. EZ Flex Seating helps drivers and passengers stay comfortable – something you might not realize is important until you have it. All things considered, it’s no wonder KBB chose the Rogue as a top pick.

The new 2014 Nissan Rogue and Quest continue to garner praise. Torque News reports that in the 2014 J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, both vehicles scored best out of all the vehicles in their segment. The survey works by giving customers who have recently purchased new automobiles a questionnaire that asks about 77 different attributes and then compiles the data for a score. Out of 1000 possible points, the Rogue earned a segment-best 786 while the Quest beat out all other minivans to post a 790.
2014 Nissan Quest
Fred Diaz, the senior vice president of Nissan Sales & Marketing and Operations, stated that, “The all-new 2014 Rogue has received numerous accolades in the automotive industry, but the most important test comes when owners evaluate the vehicle for themselves.”
Some of the numerous accolades Diaz is referring to include Best Crossover on the 2014 10 Best Family Cars list and two Kelley Blue Book best-of lists. If you would like to see the cars that are earning such well-deserved applause, visit Bates Nissan and test drive a 2014 Rogue or Quest today.
Nissan has announced new all-time production and Nissan sales records for the month of April. Global production increased by 5.4 percent year-on-year to 418,124 units and global sales increased 12.6 percent year-on-year to 410,264 units.
A big chunk of these numbers came from the United States, where production increased 22.2 percent year-on-year to 77,877 units, also marking a new all-time record for April thanks to increased demand for the new Nissan Rogue.
United States sales increased 18.3 percent year-on-year to 103,934 units for yet another all-time April record, making it one of Nissan’s most successful and fastest-growing markets. Sales were driven primarily by the high demand for the Nissan Altima, Sentra, and the new Rogue.
The 2014 Nissan Rogue is an all-new model that takes the crossover experience to new heights. It offers 70.0 cubic feet of versatile cargo space, Top Safety Pick+ safety with Forward Collision Warning, and a powerful yet economical engine. Find it at Bates Nissan!
The 2014 Nissan Rogue leads Nissan’s February sales with a record 17,197 units sold nationwide.
We know it seems like this winter will never end (though, if you hang on for just a bit longer, we’re pretty sure that spring is right around the corner). February was another long, cold, snowy month for most of the country and, like January, it stalled much of the auto industry and deflated expectations across the board. Well, for most of the auto industry that is. Nissan rose above the rest and was one of the few automakers with positive sales numbers in the month of February.
Not only was Nissan in rare enough company by posting the greatest year-over-year gain in February, but they also managed a record-setting month with 105,631 vehicles sold. This marks a 16.7 percent increase over last February and was also good for the 11th monthly record set by the brand in the past 12 months.
Leading the Nissan sales was the redesigned Rogue crossover, which also set a February record with 17,197 units sold nationwide—a jump of 72.6 percent. Another record-setter was the zero-emissions Nissan LEAF, which had an increase of 118.2 percent with 1,425 sold.
Hopefully we have finally seen an end to the cold. Want to get a jump start on your spring? Head over to Bates Nissan and warm yourself up with a brand new Nissan.

The all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue has proven to be a massive success for the Nissan brand. In just its first full month at dealerships, sales of the Rogue were up 27.8 percent, but Nissan is receiving more than just sales recognition for its redesigned SUV.
Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) recently named the 2014 Nissan Rogue to its list of the “10 Best SUVs Under $25,000.” KBB.com pointed to the Rogue’s sleek, redesigned exterior styling, and its best-in-class highway fuel economy for its place on the list.
The distinction from KBB.com affirms Nissan’s efforts in creating a practical, affordable and all-around appealing vehicle in the 2014 Rogue.
“The all-new Nissan Rogue was designed to offer customers an excellent value, while still providing drivers with unparalleled style, technology, drivability and function,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president, Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations, in a press release.
“Earning a place on KBB.com’s list of 10 Best SUVs under $25,000 helps to reaffirm our vision for this vehicle as well as its place in an extremely competitive segment.”
