The 2015 Nissan Sales Show the Popularity of the 2015 Lineup

Nissan Sentra

Nissan sales are better than ever thanks to the popularity of the Murano, Rogue, and Sentra. So far, this year has seen a 5.7% increase in sales, especially because of the record-breaking April numbers.

According to Nissan, the Rogue sales were up 44.5% this year, which is nothing compared to the 72.9% increase in Murano sales. Why are these models so popular? Since global demand for SUVs has steadily risen over the past couple of years, customers appreciate the affordability and quality of vehicles like the Rogue and Murano.

The Sentra, on the other hand, has been steadily rising to the top of sales over the past few years. This model is incredibly practical, especially because it’s fuel efficiency and affordable price. The Sentra is popular among younger generations who are looking for a sporty, yet useful car to drive in town or on the highway.

Whether you want something to take you from point A to point B or you want something that can hit the trails without difficulty, the 2015 Nissan lineup is for you. It’s no wonder the 2015 Nissan Sales are so incredible so far.

Nissan hits Production Milestone at Mexican Assembly Plant

Nissan Sentra

Nissan production is healthier than ever right now—and, in fact, the brand’s Mexican assembly plant in Aguascalientes recently hit a production milestone of 200,000 vehicles. The A2 manufacturing complex recently shipped a Nissan Sentra SR to Chicago—the 200,000th vehicle to roll off the line. There’s actually two plants in the complex, and each of them can produce a Sentra in under a minute.

With that sort of efficiency and production, it’s no wonder that the Aguascalientes plant posts such impressive numbers now. It’s also a subset of Nissan’s overall production health right now. “Nissan Mexicana is considered the benchmark for the brand in the world,” Airton Cousseau, head of Nissan’s Mexican operations, said. “It’s No. 1 in production [in Mexico] and the first in exports, more than in Japan.”

In fact, the brand hopes to make up to 1 million vehicles per year in Mexico once 2017 rolls around. Fortunately, much of that production feeds into the American market, so come see us at Bates Nissan today to learn more about all these great vehicles!

Nissan Customer Loyalty Booms Thanks to the New LEAF

nissan leaf

The Nissan LEAF was recently named one of the most popular cars on the road based on customer loyalty. During the annual IHS Automotive Loyalty Awards, the LEAF took home the award for best Non-Luxury Traditional Compact Car. Considering it was the only plug-in nominated, the fact that it won says a lot about its incredible performance and quality.

According to Nissan, the new LEAF is selling like crazy, beating all of its previous sales records in 2014. This plug-in features seating for five, 114 MPGe, and a range of 84 miles. The LEAF truly is one of the best alternative-energy models on the market.

“Since entering the market in 2010, the Nissan LEAF has steadily gained supporters throughout the U.S.,” said Toby Perry, director of marketing for Nissan LEAF. “While the majority of original buyers were electric vehicle enthusiasts, we’re now seeing more and more ‘regular’ car buyers fall in love with LEAF.”

Nissan customer loyalty is so impressive because of the high-degree of quality that comes standard with every model. Not only is the LEAF an affordable car, but engineers have consistently pushed the envelope on the design. That’s one major reason more drivers than ever are switching to the all-electric model.

Find out why everyone loves the Nissan LEAF!  Come on in to Bates Nissan to check out a Nissan LEAF for yourself.

Nissan LEAF Sets New Record in U.S. Electric Car Sales

U.S. Electric Cars Sales

It looks like more people are going green than ever before—and they are choosing the all-electric Nissan LEAF to do so. The LEAF plug-in electric car is already considered the best-selling electric car in the world, and now it has yet another accolade to add to its list. Nissan recently announced that the tiny, eco-friendly car has officially set a new U.S. electric car sales record in 2014.

The Nissan LEAF sold a total of 30,200 units in 2014 alone. This amazing number was helped by the LEAF’s impressive December sales, during which it sold 3,102 units total. The record-breaking year has brought the total LEAF sales in the U.S. to 72,322 units since the car’s introduction in December of 2010, making the Nissan electric car one of three plug-in cars that have sold more than 1,000 units in the U.S. in a month.

For such a tiny car, the Nissan LEAF has sure made a ginormous impression. As you start to notice more and more electric vehicles hitting the streets, maybe you should consider joining the green revolution as well!  Make sure you stop in to Bates Nissan soon to see the amazing all-electric Nissan LEAF and other eco-friendly vehicle options we have to offer!

The Nissan Sentra And Other Models Hit The Gym

Nissan Versa

There’s nothing wrong with inspiring yourself.  I mean, you can’t always rely on others to do it for you!  This is the lesson we can take from Nissan.  They recently decided to freshen up the look of the Nissan Sentra, Altima and Versa lines.  For this improvement, they took cues from their own work – that is, the refresh they gave their 2015 Nissan Murano and 2016 Nissan Maxima.

The move they are making is towards “sportier” models.  The change is intended to help the Sentra, Altima and Versa stay competitive while Nissan works on full changes to these models.

That adjective, “sporty,” has raised some eyebrows in the automobile community.  That’s because many times a move towards sporty means sacrificing space and comfort. But not this time, says Shiro Nakamuro, Nissan’s design chief: “We have the most roomy hatchback or sedan in the segment, so we don’t want to throw away our strengths.”

We at Bates Nissan are well aware of these strengths. Stop by for a test drive and let us introduce them to you today!

Wrap up of 2013 for Nissan

As the year comes to an end soon, we wanted to take a look back at the wrap up of 2013 brought Nissan.

In January 2013, Nissan began manufacturing the LEAF, Nissan’s first all-electric car, in the Smyrna, Tenn. plant.

“Bringing assembly of the innovative 2013 Nissan LEAF to our award-winning manufacturing plant speaks to the flexibility, efficiency and talent of our U.S. workforce,” said Susan Brennan, Nissan’s vice president of manufacturing in Smyrna. “Nissan has a 30-year history of building quality vehicles in Smyrna, and just like every vehicle we produce, the LEAF has met or exceeded every one of our rigorous quality requirements.”

In June 2013, the 2014 Nissan Note hit showrooms across the country, starting at $13,990. Following the redesign of the Altima, Pathfinder and Sentra, the Note was the fourth new product for Nissan. The Versa Note joins the second-generation Versa Sedan and is “aggressively designed, equipped, packaged and priced, serving notice to the competition that Nissan intends to remain the key player in the Entry segment for a long time to come,” said Fred Diaz, divisional vice president, Nissan Sales & Marketing.

Diaz continued by saying, “With class-leading fuel economy, cutting-edge technologies, an energetic exterior design, roomy and versatile interior and available activity enhancing features such as Pandora radio compatibility and hands-free text messaging assistant, Versa Note is an ideal fit for today’s buyers needs.”

In July 2013, the LEAF reached its 100,000th Electric Vehicle sold in the U.S. This vehicle was sold in Atlanta, Georgia on July 24, 2013 to Allison Howard.

“It’s economical. It is something I could afford as a college student. It drives perfectly. It’s so cool, and that’s why I wanted to get a LEAF,” said Howard.

In August 2013, Nissan announced their benchmarks for Autonomous Drive and by the end of November, the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, took the Nissan LEAF on its first road test.

A lot more has happened this year, but we’re looking forward to what 2014 will bring Bates Nissan and Nissan as a whole.
