2017 Nissan Pathfinder Exterior Touches Reflect the Beast Mode Within

This Nissan Pathfinder has always represented the perfect balance between powerful SUV and nimble car, but now, the Pathfinder is set to get bigger and bolder, reflecting the latest trends while also paying respects to classic Nissan style.

The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has a raised hood, hooked running lights, an updated grille, new fog lights, and even turn signal markers in the mirrors. Matched with a revised rear hatch and fenders – and you’ve got a much more aggressive Pathfinder.

The rugged new Nissan Pathfinder exterior mimics the vehicle’s updated off-roading abilities, with a new all-wheel drive system, three different driving modes to select from, and safety features such as hill descent control and hill start assist.

Overall, both explorers and casual drivers afraid of icy roads will love the new Nissan Pathfinder, which aims to protect drivers and has the exterior styling to show it. (Of course, it’s also packed with all the latest amenities on the inside – including Nissan Connect.)

Earth Day Facts and What YOU Can Do to Help

The year was 1970, and a lot had happened. From the death of celebrities to the Vietnam War, there was attention on many different topics. But, there was one thing that had never before been talked about – preserving the earth. Thus, a Wisconsin senator decided to make a holiday that celebrated the earth and how to protect it, and Earth Day was created. In this blog you will find more Earth Day facts, information, and what you can do to help.

Earth Day Facts

Nowadays we see a lot of vehicles that are very earth-friendly like the Nissan LEAF, and electric vehicle that is emission-free, or the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid that combines electric and gas power to give off fewer emissions when driving. Back when Earth Day was just being founded, you couldn’t find vehicles like that. There were V8, gas-guzzling sedans that got little miles to the gallon and gave off emissions we see in big ‘ole SUVs and trucks.

When Gaylord Nelson, the U.S. Senator from Wisconsin, created Earth Day it did more than just demonstrate against air and water pollution. It brought together everyone for a cause. “Earth Day 1970 achieved a rare political alignment, enlisting support from Republicans and Democrats, rich and poor, city slickers and farmers, tycoons and labor leaders,” says EarthDay.org. “The first Earth Day led to the creation of the United States Environmental ProtEarth Day Factsection Agency and the pass of the Clean Air, Clean Water, and Endangered Species Acts.”

Since that time April 22nd has marked the time to come together and join forces against the pollution of the air, water, forests, and endangering of animals on our planet.

Now, you may be wondering what you can do to help. Well there are many ways to do your part. The Earth Day organization suggests that you call upon your cities to pass bills and legislations to invest in clean energy and smart grids. Participation can be from your home, a local campaign, Earth Day events, and etc. Any way to get the word out will be helping the cause.

You yourself can also cut down on the amount of pollution you put out by recycling, disposing of waste properly, driving vehicles that do not put off as many emissions, and by using solar energy when possible.

Possible Recall of 2013 Nissan Pathfinder

2013 Nissan Pathfinder

Last week, Nissan announced they may have to recall 110,000 2013 Nissan Pathfinders and the Infiniti JX crossovers. The possible recall is due to customer complaints about losing power suddenly while driving. The issue has been pointed to faulty transmission cooler line connections regarding the continuously variable transmission, which is in the Pathfinder and the JX.

At this time, the problem is being investigated and no recall has been announced, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says a recall is likely.

Keep your eye on the Bates Nissan blog and Facebook for updates on this developing recall and if you have any concerns, stop in to see us.
