This is an amazing time of the year for America. We get to celebrate our freedom from the king that we fought for so long ago. Independence Day is a time to celebrate with family, watch some fireworks, and enjoy a day that is all about the United States. Be sure that you follow some Independence Days safety tips, though, because you do not want to end up regretting your decisions on the 4th of July.
Fireworks are lots of fun to enjoy with the kids, but they can also be dangerous. Amateurs setting off fireworks can run the risk of skin burns, fires, deafness, and overall bodily harm. Please make sure you seek a professional’s help if you really want a private showing, otherwise we suggest heading somewhere to see fireworks, not setting off your own.
Independence Day Safety – Grilling
Grilling out is a tradition on the 4th of July. The smell and sound of hamburgers and hot dogs is as American as apple pie. However, it can also be dangerous. Make sure to never leave your grill unattended and try to keep children away. Also, check to be sure that the gas line is hooked up properly in a gas grill. These and other grill tips will help you to remain safe in the privacy of your own backyard.
Independence Day Safety – Drinking and Driving
With celebrations, come celebratory drinks. If you are someone who plans on drinking alcohol on the 4th, then make sure you have a designated driver, a taxi you can call, or a couch you can sleep on, because drinking and driving is never the answer.
We here at Bates Nissan hope that these Independence Day safety tips have helped you prepare for a safer holiday this year, and if you feel like stopping by to celebrate with us, then we would be glad to have you!
